“Last time we changed our Owners Corporation Manager (OCM), we took a DIY approach to selection. It didn’t turn out well – after a good start, the service provided by the new OCM deteriorated to the point where we decided we had to find a replacement. This time, we engaged Strata Management Consultants (SMC) to guide us through the selection process. Our consultant Ada Zhao was responsive, flexible and sensitive to the specific requirements of our Owners Corporations. “Our previous Owners Corporation (OC) went from ‘Not Great’ to ‘Extremely Terrible’ over the last 7 years. The committee spoke about changing OC numerous times but found it extremely challenging to select one because we’re not sure what criteria to check them against plus every OC company says they are great and experienced. Thankfully ABC aired a relevant episode on Four Corners so we engaged Strata Management Consults to assist us with the change of OC. We dealt with Ada Zhao who is very professional and experienced in this field. She provided beyond satisfactory answers to most of our queries and realistic strategies to address our concerns (mainly related to the changeover and the incoming OC). A committee would understands that OC matters can get forgotten/deprioritized rather easily as we’re often doing this voluntarily at our own time.
